I really wanted to make cookies last night. But I didn't have any vanilla pudding. I did have a package of chocolate and a package of cheesecake. So I decided to make a double batch and use both....YUMMY is all I have to say!!

I would say Colby liked them. I think Steve ate more than a dozen of them!!

Graduation

I can hardly believe that the end of the school year is here. Jordan and Luke had their graduation on Thursday. They did a good job singing and signing their names. Great Grandma and Grandpa Hansen and Nana were there with us. We have been very blessed to have such awesome preschool teachers. Jordan is very ready for Kindergarten and Luke is looking forward to another great year at Busy Bee Preschool

The kids got their pictures taken. We also bought pass of all passes for our family. We have enjoyed going to hockey games, football games, soccer and look forward to swimming lots and going to races. Colby was builder of the month for January and he also recieved an honorable mention for the inspirations contest.

Although we had a lot of fun in 2010. We also lost 3 very great men in our lives. Merlin Olsen (Jack and Joe's grandpa) passed away in the spring. David Dinger (Jack and Joe's dad) passed away in the fall. Grandpa Cooley also passed away in the fall. We miss all of them very much, but know that they are happy and healthy on the other side.

Okay, okay, okay. It has been FOREVER since I have blogged. And after being asked by many to blog again. Here we go!! I will share some pictures from the last year and a half to catch up on life a little. Kiersten is 11 now, she is in 5th grade. Colby is 7 and in 1st grade. He LOVES school. We have been very blessed to have him going to the charter school. He really loves learning and is getting better at math and reading every day. He has been a straight A student all year!! Jordan is 5 and in pre-school. He is such a smart boy. He is reading and is really excited to go to Kindergarten next year. Luke is 3 and is also in preschool. He likes to be just like his big brothers. He is still snuggly and I love it!! Steve is working for URS and the DCD in Stockton. He really enjoys his job. We don't care for the shift work, but we love his 7 days off that he gets every month. As for me, well you know. I am still crazy busy as always!! I am the second counselor in the primary presidency, the ASL (academic team lead, also known as room mother) for Colby's class, I sew for boutique's, cut hair, substitute teach and just the daily grind of being a mom. I truely am blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.

The kids love going for bike rides. We have 2 bike trailers and then Kiersten rides her bike. It has been a lot of fun. I am sad to almost have to put the bikes away for winter we really have enjoyed our rides!!

Soccer 2009

We started soccer last month. I am coaching and Steve is helping me out. Well, he does most the work, I just tell him what to do. lol We have a great team of kids. 6 boys and 1 girl. Bailey, the girl on our team out plays all the boys, even her twin brother. It has been so much fun, we really enjoy working with this group of kids each week.

I try so hard to keep up on this thing. But I have been really slacking lately. Colby and Jordan both are in school. Colby is in Kindergarten. He started the year off at Willow Elementary in Mrs Marks class. Then we got a call from the charter school with an opening for him. So now he is going to Excelsior Acadamy and LOVES it. He has Mr Orkiolla and is doing so well. Jordan is going to Busy Bee preschool. He loves his teachers Miss Reine and Miss Shilo.

Erda Shirts!!

For our reunion my mom got everyone Erda shirts to tie-dye. We had a lot of fun and now we all have our own Erda t-shirts to wear. The little kids didn't get Erda ones because they don't have them that small, so we are working on getting something made to put on them!! They will be fun to wear this next weekend for Erda days!!

About 6 or more years ago, we started doing a family reunion with just my immediate family. We work one day (whoever is incharge chooses where and what) and we play the other. This year my dad was in charge. We went fishing and crawdad hunting on friday night and bbq'd hotdogs and burgers. Saturday we had yummy biscuits and gravy for breakfast, then the guys put new posts on the deck, sided the pump house and finished putting curbing around the flowerbeds. We had yummy pulled pork sandwiches for lunch and then the kids played in the water, pick apricots and tie tied t-shirts and in the evening we had pizza and homemade raspberry icecream and we played with glow sticks until midnight!! Sunday we had a nice day at church and chimichanga's for dinner. We had a lot of fun. Here are a few pics from our weekend too!!

So the other day Jordan really wanted to make muffins. So we mixed them up and I went to get the pan out. I asked him if he wanted to make mini muffins. And he said yes, and can we make mickey ones too!!

We had so much fun. The place we stayed in Newport was amazing and Disneyland and the beach were so much fun for the kids!! We are glad to be home and getting back to normal though!! Can't wait to do it again!!

I can hardly wait. Just one more day and we will be on our way to California. It is a much needed and much anticipated vacation. The kids are so excited, they have been packed for days. I am almost packed. I just have a few groceries I need to get and then throw everything in the car tomorrow. It is really going to be a lot of fun. Even though I am still sick and have no voice at all!! Yay!!

Memorial Day Weekend!!

We had such a great weekend!! I wish it wouldn't have ended. We started it Friday night with the drive-in. We saw Race to Witch mountain and Hannah Montana. The kids slept most of the time. Good thing its only $1 for them to go!!

Saturday we got to go and tour the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple. They had a night for people who worked on it to come see and my uncle invited us. It was so pretty. And it was cool to see all the work my uncle did. He caulked the outside and also did some work in the font.

Sunday we just had a good rest day.

Monday we went to my grandpa's family reunion. The kids had a great time and didn't want to leave. We dropped Kiersten back at her mom's and headed to my uncle's house for dinner and then Steve helped him fish some wire. While we were there, I started to get really sick. Chills, fever, coughing, lost my voice, it was terrible. Hopefully it will be gone by the time we go on our trip this weekend!!

The kids are super excited to FINALLY get to go to disneyland. It is a very overdue trip. We are going with Steve's parents and his sister and her family will be down there too, just staying somewhere else and doing different things. But we will hook up with them while we are down there. Wow, time sure does fly. We are all moved finally and now are trying to find a place for everything. The kids are LOVING seeing nana and grandpa everyday!! It will be so nice to get caught up again. Steve is working up at the UofU hospital right now. We are hoping he gets hired on full time, but time will tell. He is also getting closer to getting his business started, whic will be so nice. The kids are getting in to the same old mischief as always. Gotta love it!! I have a video I gotta get on here of them making apple juice with an orange juicer.

Jordan and Colby got to go with grandpa yesterday to take the cow to the butchers. We were at church and after I got him from nursery, he said in a very loud voice...."is it time to go eat bob now??" He is so funny. I think he understands a little better now, we have talked about it and he knows bob is going to be made into hamburger and steak and then we can eat him.

The kids are having all new experiences here and I am so happy they are getting to see how I grew up. Colby has managed to kill one of grandpa's tree's already. He ran it over with is 4 wheeler. He also got to hunt the rooster with grandpa. They were getting creative and hunting him with a bow. The rooster was mean and so he finally got it with a shotgun.

We really are loving being at my parents and think it will be great for our family!!

I was so excited when the DR told me that I didn't have to wear my boot anymore!! 6 weeks with that thing was way too long!! I do have to wear a brace for 6 weeks and can only wear tennis shoes with it, but I don't care. May look a little silly at church on Sundays. But I get to wear 2 shoes now instead of 1!!! YIPPIE!!!

My brother has been living with my parents for a few months now, and is buying a house in Tooele. So my parents have offered to let us move in with them. We are going to take them up on the offer. Steve has not been working much lately and so things are really tight. Even with the killer deal my other brother gives us on rent, it is still hard to make ends meet. So we will be moving in a month or two. We haven't told our kids yet, but I am sure they are going to start to wonder why I am packing all our stuff up. :)

Want to see something ugly?? My leg was pretty ugly when I first broke it!! Now it is looking normal again. Still have to wear the boot, but can walk around w/o crutches! YAY!!

It has been 5 weeks now. I am hoping that I will get this boot off next week and move into a sports brace and start physical therapy.

Drama, drama, drama. Has been Jordan this past week. Last night we were at my mom's after a very long day. He wanted to spend the night. And was determained to do so. After finally getting him in the car kicking and screaming. We got home and he came in and told Steve he was going to sleep at Nana's house. We told him, ok, but he was going to have to get there on his own. Well, he decided that he could ride his bike there. So he went in the back yard and got his helmet on and hopped on his tri-cycle. He got halfway down the driveway and stopped and said, "mom, you need to come with me so you can push me up the big hill". I couldn't help from laughing. He wanted my help to push him up the viaduct on the north side of town. He was still pretty sure he was going to go.

Eventually we talked him out of it. But it took a good hour or so. That boy definately knows what he wants, and is gonna get it, if he can!

So on Saturday, it was my mission to get all the leaves raked up while Steve was at work. The wind had been blowing and so our lawn was covered. You could not even see the grass. I recruited the boys to help me in this challange.

I did end up going to Home Depot later and buying one of those leaf vacs. Our neighbor has some leaves that are so little and they don't rake up. And they kill the lawn.

I am going to be raking again tomorrow. Hopefully I can get all the leaves before the snow is here to stay!!

Steve has an interview tomorrow at 8am. He is applying for a position in Dugway. It would be 4, 10 hour days, benefits, retirement, vacation, the works!! He is so nervous. We really hope he gets the job. It is something we have been praying a lot for. I will let you know how it goes!!

6 Years!!!!

We have made it 6 years!! Steve and I celebrated out 6th anniversary on Sunday. Well, we really didn't celebrate. We were in Duchesne with Liz. But I can't believe that it has been 6 years already. Time flies!! I have a wonderful husband and family. I am so blessed!!

This past weekend we got to go to Duchesne to see my cute cute niece's. Leah Jo Ivie was born on September 24 at 1:32 am. She weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. She is doing so well and so is Liz. Breann loves her baby Leah. It was so great to go spend time out there again. I love it out there. Too bad it's too country for Steve. Heck, Tooele is almost too country for him!! lol

My new found addiction

So Steve say's I am addicted. And he may just be right. I have been learning how to crochet and I totally love it. I made a bunch of wash clothes, 2 afghans, a coin purse and a scarf. I am working on a purse. I have been doing it just over a week now and I am totally into it. I can do it anywhere. I can watch tv, watch my kids. Its also very relaxing. So what if I am addicted!! I love it!!

Sometimes I wonder how I ever survive the day. We have always told Colby to be nice to Jordan because one day he is going to pick on you. Well, that day has come. And especially right now because Colby is tired. Colby fell asleep at the bottom of the stairs. So Jordan decided to pile everything he could find on him. Then of coarse Colby woke up crying. What a way to spend an afternoon. WHINIG kids! I love em though!!

Okay, so everyone is blogging these days. And I have decided to jump on th band wagon. I thought I would start with what we are all up to.

Steve is working as an electrician for Liberty. He has gotten his residential masters and is hoping to start up his own business soon. He was just called to be the 2nd counselor in the Elders Quarem in our ward.

I am crazy as always. I am going through some tests to figure out why I am numb. I see a cardiologist next week. I had a some MRI's done on my brain, neck and spine and they were all normal. I also had a spinal tap which came out normal too. I am cutting hair a few nights a week to get out of the house. I am still doing close to my heart and am actually getting some projects done. I am teaching music in primary and lovin it. I also just volunteered to be the fundraising manager for Tooele Mommies.com. I think it will be fun!!

Kiersten just turned 9 on Saturday. I can't believe how much she is growing up. She is going to school in Ogden where she is living with her mom. We are starting custody evaluations tomorrow and hope that she can come live with us soon.

Colby is almost 5. Wow, can you believe it!! He is playing soccer and is in his 2nd year of preschool. He is loving living close to nana and grandpa and talks non stop about hunting.

Jordan is 2 1/2 and is as smart as a whip. He is also going to preschool and loving it. He is growing up way too fast. But that is how he has always been.

Luke will be 11 months on Wednesday. My how the time has flown. He is still a momma's boy and has no interest in walking. He crawls so fast. I am interested to hear him when he starts talking. He babbles so much and has so much to say.

We are renting my brother's home here in Tooele. We are loving it. It is really nice to be close to my family.
